Yep, that's MUD!!! I was working in the garden in the backyard and the girls discovered they could make mud out of the dirt... "Mom is it okay if we play in this?"
It was fun to watch for sure, but we will save this activity for the few and far between. It took 3 washes to get these clothes clean and you can imagine what my shower looked like afterwards.

Oh the joys of being able to play in the mud without a care about the way it feels, looks, and how hard it will be to clean it up. Isn't childhood great?!
Seeing these pictures reminds me of something Baseball great Hank Aaron said to his wife.
He and his boys were playing in the backyard, making a mess of things (clothes, grass, etc,). His wife came out and said to stop as they were messing things up. His response was:
"Honey, we are not raising grass, we are raising boys".
I think of that when my girls are doing something crazy.
